Product Stock Locations Overview

Product Stock Locations allow the creation of Locations within Merchanter to manage stocks of Products in the system.

This is both to stock control to location level and to display multiple locations a product may be held whilst recording stock at a depot level.

On your Merchanter system you can:

View Existing Product Stock Locations:

· Product View > Locations Tab

· Main Depot Location

· Other Depot Locations

· Quays

Design Product Stock Locations that suit the Business:

· Take some time to design the structure and decide how you would like to manage Product Stock locations, a straightforward & logical approach will deliver the best results

Locations will need to be co-ordinated via managing product locations and Product Orders to gain the best results when using the system.

Create and Manage Product Stock Locations:

· Settings Menu (Prime User) allows you to generate the Location Hierarchy

(Locations need to be logical and straight forward)

· Settings Menu > Organisation Settings > Depot Locations

· Click on the Depot location in the list and you will then see Locations within Depot

· Double Click on a Location within the Depot to see Location information

· Double Click on a Sub Location to see further information

Adding Product Stock Locations:

· Product View > Edit

· Product View > Locations Tab > Add a Stock Location to a depot

· Add Product Storage Location > Location drop drown

· Choose Location and Save

Repeat to add more locations:

· Add Stock Location

· Add Product Storage Location > Location drop drown

· Choose Location and Save

· Save Product Information

Review Product Stock Locations:

· Product View > Locations Tab

· Main Depot Location

· Stocked Locations – Locations and potential Sub Locations added

· Other Depot Locations

· Quays

· Product View > Stock Tab

· Stock Summary now shows added locations

Product Stock Locations with Stock Counts:

· Stock Menu > Stock Count

· Tab - Step 1: Identify what to count

· Location Confidence

· Locations will be listed

· Select Location in the list

· Schedule selected for counting

· This will add products of that location to the Stock Count

· Tab - Step 2: Assign Counts

· Select Products based on the Stock Count requirements

· Select – Create stock count job (selected)

· Enter ref:

· Select employee to perform count

· Select - Begin Count

· If the Stock Count Filter is set to Location, Products will be listed against each location

· If the Stock Count Filter is set to Product, Locations will be listed under each Product

· Complete the Stock Count
